RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Frappr and Moki

Hi Brent,

I don't want to clog the mailing list with photos.  It's much easier to post them to a web site somewhere and then just provide a link in the email.  Most people are packing 5 and 6 megapixel cameras these days and the resulting images are huge.  We've got 414 email recipients on the mailing list right now which means alot of bandwidth just to send a photo.

PSUBS has a "projects" page, www.psubs.org/projects and a picture gallery http://www.psubs.org/psub_pic/psub_pic.html which is open to anyone who wants to submit photos.  I only ask that you convert your photos to 80x60 pixels (for thumbnail use) and 640x480 pixels for the big photos.  Email them to ray@psubs.org or jon@psubs.org and we'll get them up on the web site.

Jon

Hello All,

Would it be possible to increase the email size limit on the PSUBS mailing list, so we can send a reasonably sized picture or two from time to time?  I don't know how many of us are still stuck with slow dial-up internet, but even those people might not mind to much, sense it's sub related, or is the problem bandwidth cost and/or or spammers?

Also, I'm not aware of who controls the Moki site, but it can be pretty hard to use for people like me with slow internet connections, as well as those with fast ones, since there are no thumbnails to know what you want to look at, as well as kept track of where you are.

I really appreciate the hard work of the people that keep these sites working, like Jon.  These are just some of my thoughts for upgrades.

Regards,
Brent Hartwig
