The problem of smugling is simple.. a sub needs a harbour to start and a harbour to deload. 

Satelits have no problems with harbours and border patrol boats also not. 
There infared highdefinition camers on this controlboats and 
can see a zigaette of miles away and diesel exhaust also. 

Peter - On the backway from danmark to germany I pass 10.000 loorys in line - if I would to smuggle I will use something which is in large quantity available - Passengeraircrafts or loorys.
Not subs - which pay attention to everyone on the shore.
