Jon posted some downloadable CAD files on the PSUBS site. One of which is a eDrawings file that you can use to show your son the 3D model while the program plays an animation of the model. If you like, you can zoom in, pan, rotate and even create a section view and wire frame of the model and save them as JPEG files.  Image quality of those saved JPEG's are not always the best, so I use a screen capture program called PhotoSuite.
