Didn't Stanley's sub use buoyancy as the propulsive force?
I thought I read somewhere that he flooded the ballast tanks and headed
down with dive planes controlling depth and direction, but used air blow to
surface.
I seem to remember that it was up for sale, but he scuttled it.
