Hi Thad,

I wouldn't move the motors. Because they can be moved
up and down means you can use them to drive the sub up
and down. Really nice if you are moving carefully at
slow speeds.

If you moved them to the rear and made then stationary
then you will be dependant on using dive planes to
control your depth. For dive planes to work you will
need a speed of two or more knots. Fine in open water
but not so good if you are going slow, close and was
to look.
