Well Paul it's for sale, and if you bought it with your girl scout money you could do your own demo dives for me and/or your dog. You should go down to the marina and at least take a look at it and take a couple of pictures for me of the top attachment area of the rudder shooting upwards. Also get some detailed pics on both sides of the drop weights down low. We need to call up Ellis Adams and see if he will give use a inside tour. After all we would be advertizing the data all over the world through the PSUB group which might get this solid built sub sold for him. Last I heard the US Submarines group with Ellis Adams and Paul Moorehouse were designing and building a underwater hotel for a Fiji lagoon in Portland, Oregon. If that is still the case then I'll like to go to Portland and see all the goings on and see the USS Blue Back sub at Omsi again. I had a feeling I would wake up a PSUBer in Seattle with this one.
I was just looking at the MSubs page on this sub and it shows the same color of top deck traction material that the sub has now, and with how grippy it was, I don't think it has ever been painted and was some sort of glued on material. I plan to use a Rhino bedliner type material for deck traction but the type on the S1 01 is likely a little better.

Thanks for the info Brent. The last I'd heard, US Submarines had her for doing demos in Puget Sound. Boy, that's what I get for procrastinating: I was planning to give them a call and try to get in on one of those demo dives...
