Good point, but I don't think that would be a problem. If it was
done carefully and with vibrators I think you could eliminate any voids.
But maybe an alternative would be to have the ferro-cemet skin on the
inside of the form and have a wood outside. That way you
wouldn't have to remove the inside forms and it would give you a chance design
the inside better. I was thinking of possibly installing the
motor-generator inside the sub before the pour, essentially surrounding it with
the poured concrete structure. If you ever had to take the engine out you
would have to destroy the sub.
When pouring with a wood form how do you prevent
voids? I assume with using wood forms the only
way you would be aware of voids is after the fact, after the cement
cured and then you pull off the forms.
