Correct.  It sounds like the VAST subs were the only ones with identifiable markings.  If I remember correctly, Kittredge Industries built a total of 48 subs.  I don't know how many had the collar.

I'm guessing from what I've heard that George built 12  K-250 style subs for VAST and a number of others later on?  Do you know how many K-250 subs he built, and how many of those had the old style 1/4" thick saddle collar? If this is the sub built for Brooks Institute of Photography, then if I understand what your saying about the identifying marks on the VAST subs, that the Brooks sub wouldn't have that type of marking.
