As I don't have an engineering background and I am learning as I go, I found
the document useful when endeavouring to understand the different modes of
failure that are associated with the design of adequate stiffeners for a
pressure hull. 

It has some very good illustrations which allowed me to associate the
different terms used in the ABS document with a visual example. This may
also assist others when using Dr Redus' excellent ABS spreadsheet available
on the Psubs Website.
