[PSUBS-MAILIST] newbie questions

so I've been on this list for the better part of a year and have had the idea of designing and building my own sub for almost 20 years now. Of course, the first 10 years or so I was foiled by the fact that even if i managed to build a sub on my allowence, I would have never been able to convince my parents to help me transport something that heavy to the water that they believed would probably be the death of me. At this point, my wife is a little more supportive and the ideas are seeming a little more feasible. i do have a few basic questions though- for a 2 man diesel/elec, what is a reasonable amount to HPA and batteries to have on board? ie- how much air does a dive/trim/surface take on somthing slightly larger than a K350? how many batteries do most of you guys carry/recomend onboard? i'm sure i'll have many more questions to come, but these are part of the initial hull design (making sure there's room enough for all the essentials and 2 people while keeping it under 10,000 lbs).
thanks in advance,
kory in so. cal
