RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter

I remember watching him as a kid, and thinking he was the best thing ever.

Rest In Peace, Steve…

Oh no!  He may have died of a stingray barb to the heart.

OK....I've been a member of this group almost from the inception....that being said, we have had the occasional deviation from the topic of subs and have weathered it well.  Bill's post about what he's been sidelined with (with respect to subs) was a small sideline and could have easily been ignored but I feel because of past history (regarding Bill's occupation) has been blown out of proportion.  I myself found it interesting even if it had nothing to do with subs.  That being said, can we just drop it, pretend it never occurred, and proceed with our sub discussions?  I'm sure Bill had no intentions of hijacking the PSUBS group and making it a gun related group.  So let's just drop it and get back to sub discussions. OK?

Oh yeah we wouldnt want anything to distract us from our precious submarines. I mean I really would like to get back to welding on my expensive toy asap and ignore everything else in the world.  What we can really fall back on "jon" is that most of the people here are uptight pricks just like you.

Owned!

Let's see if we can close this topic and move on.  We try to be flexible, but when push comes to shove we have to fall back on the fact that this is a discussion list for submersible related topics.  I think most folks tolerate the occasional digression, but this one is growing to the point of being distracting.  As Pierre suggested, feel free to contact Bill Akins personally about his invention.

Thanks,

Jon
