[PSUBS-MAILIST] Fish eyes

Hi guys,

I saw a video of the sport sub ambient sub.

I noticed that on each side of the sub there are small windows that are 
half-sphere. The windows seems to be very thick.

I was wandering since my sub have many blind spots (in fact, I can only see 
strait forward and up) that if I put half sphere of acrylic as window, would 
I see 180 deg. around? Then eliminating blind spots on the side? I'm aware 
that if that does work distortion would be... interesting at best. But I 
could see if I am close to an object or to see where is that scuba diver?

Anybody tried that before?

Remember that my sub is an ambient sub and that there will be no pressure on 
the windows. So I can build them pretty much as I like it.
