Subject: [PSUBS-MAILIST] new hull design 36 vs 42 dia

hi guys

I just decided to throw out the current design based around a 36 dia hull / with external battery pods.and go for a 42 dia hull placing the batteries in the bilge solves a lot of problems and give me a cargo capacity of 2500 lb.. using spiral top batteries. I lose about 6 inches of floor space and don't have a worry about flooding the pods. even carrying a thousand pound of batteries 200 lb. of support equipment  and four hundred lb. of crew, we will still need 900 lb. of ballast. that will be divided in to a 100 LB moveable and 800 lb. of dropable lead shot in hollow landing gear with drop valves

if anybody sees a problem give a shout
