I've got pics of about half a meg apiece of my
steering wheel/control stick options.
I don't know what's hapenming with Moki - jeepers
that thing is awkward to use.
Anyhoo, anyone interested can let me know and
I'll send them offlist.
These are game control steering wheels and a
joystick. As far as aircraft controls go, they are extremely light.
I'll be adapting them for use with mechanical linkage, probably drum and cable
with eighth inch S/S marine cable around through bolted pulleys.
There will be NO computer/motherboard/electronics aboard with the exception of
my depth finder/collision avoidance. The usual electrics, of course (nav
lights, red night lighting, etc.) I have a knotmeter, depth gauge and
voltmeter. C'est tout.

Yeah - my original concepts reinvented the
wheel. Little did I realise that button tucked velvet lounge seating had
already been done.
After that it had to be (1) easy to build
(2) simple to operate (3) had to have at least some element of
"cool" (4) had to have outstanding visibility

Precisely why I called that diagram I sent you "The Incredible Shrinking
Submarine". Remember my original concept? A little dose of reality cured me
quickly.
Another great link, Thanks Rick.

I was considering Joe's ambient design and
realised that fitting his (mine in the case of Magical Child) crew will
determine the cockpit's internal volume. As a consequence,
it will affect how much keel ballast is required and, to some
degree, what the sub is carrying in terms of entrained
water.
Here's a link to some trial software that
allows human figure scaling and more.
Obviously, even one-at boats could use this
software.
Enjoy!!! It looks cool.
