Hi All,
I got an unexpected treat for Thanksgiving, as I sat on the sofa with all my sub
paraphernalia on the coffee table to show the kids, books, maps, digrams of WWII
subs etc... My uncle in law rang up his friends dad, the guy
was on the USS Barb and proceeded to tell me how many tons they sank ! He
was in Florida and I was talking to him here in California, so I
asked him if he ever got depth charged, "yeh, 99 times ! "
" you counted?" I asked, "yep" he said. I told him
about the Pampanito that is restored up in San Francisco, He said that
they made razor blades out of the Barb. Those guys were something else
!!
