   I get "African Letters" as I call them all the time. As you mentioned it 
can be fun to play with them.  I had one who corresponded me for a month, 
sent me pictures of a project that they wanted me to invest in etc.

   Another interesting "scam" is those who want you to be the middleman and 
process checks for them.

   In addition to not giving them your bank account number don't give them 
any information about your self i.e. phone number, address etc.
