 I forgot to add that the usual primary purposes of 
hard tanks is also for final submerging as well as trimming. 
But then some designs use sliding weights on the 
keel to trim with instead of tanks and then the hard tanks 
are only used for final submersion. So you see Joe, 
you know WHAT the terms mean now, but it doesn't  
necessarily mean you have to use them that way in 
your design. You are unlimited in your design ideas 
as long as you overcome buoyancy and weight and 
build something a size you will be happy with and it is safe..
