I think you might end up with a slightly oval cylinder rather than around.
If the ribs are manufactured in the same way, they also have the same
deformity.  Of course the ribs may still fit, but the won't be any help
pushing the cylinder into round.

A slighly oval hull might still work, although you would want to calculate
the crush depth based on the longest curve of the hull.  I'm not sure about
safety factor, might have to increase it depending on the % of out of
round.  I've heard that out of roundness is a factor that makes it hard
(impossible?) to accurately calculate crush depth.
