That is great Carsten! I had no idea about windmill tubes used as pressure vessels! Super.
 
Thanks very much for those links. I wonder what the operational depth and crush depth are of
 
those tubes and if the tubes are made in different thicknesses of metal

I would enjoy plugging those figures into the spreadsheet that was 
sent around earlier to see the crush depth figures for a submarine 
made from windmill tubes--with appropriate bracing of course.

UC-3 looks very very cool...

I find it interesting to compare the detailed CAD drawings of the 
Euronaut to the chalk sketch of UC-3... Surely Peter has more 
drawings and calculations than that?

If not, I cannot disparage the design methodology of a man who has 
already built two working submarines and has started on his third!
