Hi Bill look yourself.. the flange is about 4-5 inch strong high tensile
steel. More than a sub need. Yes - windmill baseshafts will work.

"tubes and towers of windwills"? Are windmills where Peter Madsen lives
(Denmark) made out of thick steel tubes and towers sufficient as
external pressure vessels for
submarines?
