RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] minn kota 2 hp
I have purchased three 2hp Edrive Minn Kota motors for my K-350. They are
48VDC and very sturdy. The MinnKota engineer I talked to said the seals
have been run to about 100 ft and will hold deeper, but may pinch the shaft.
I will ambient compensate using an external piston. I have also bought
the controller and the special metal prop for these units. The motor
controller is pretty impressive. With forward reverse and sensing circuits
- one potentiometer can drive across the whole range. If you slam from fwd
to rev it will only go slowly between each. All in each system is around
$800.

polite and patience I asked him like one hundred questions about my motors,
try him with your questions. Best Regards. Daniel

lbs of thrust (about 1.75hp) and I used its original prop, but I had a
problem they are way too big to fit the k-350 design, still thinking what to
do.I have broke it to one hundred pieces and reassembled it again lots of
times, what do you want to know?

nozzle. have to repitch the prop for the lower hp. it should add about 30%
