Getting back to subs: what's your particular
interest? I've deleteted more emails than I can remember, so I can't
check my own archives - they don't exist!!

questions are welcome
Rick,
I'm just here to learn and gather
information.
Will I ever build my own sub? I
don't know, but I like to learn and have been pleasantly pleased with the
wealth of information that others are willing to share.
But there are always those who tend to
be less than cordial when it comes to communications.
I feel sorry for those that resort to
shouting and yelling rather than sharing. Their arguing tends to be
counter productive and lower the standards that is normally is found in the
correspondence.

Thanks, Phillip - as Dan H. so succinctly put
it: we're only tenants here. Ray's got the keys - and put in the
hours (since the 1990's!!!). Let's respect his place.
Subject: Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST]
Myles' questions are welcome
I'd like to make a few requests to
Dave Banks.
First, Myles may have family
responsibilities that preclude hours of "research" through the
archives. Whether he has the time to check archives or not is
not our concern. Please keep critical comments off-list.
Call Myles long distance and give him your opinions
privately.
Second, consider for a moment how the
more advanced contributors may feel with YOUR questions,
Dave. People who have PhD's in the field or decades of
experience as sub pilots, people who have worked underwater for a
living. There are those of us who have been contributing to
this list a heck of a lot longer than you. We have answered
the same questions YOU have asked more than once.
Happily.
*wispering*....I don't want to piss
anyone off. I'll just listen. I don't know enough
about subs to really comment anyway. I
I'm an enthusiastic guy that is always willing to
share ideas and resources. I've always been that way.
I forget sometimes that not everybody is the same.
Damn! I hate that. Same thing
happened to me and I didn't post again for many months Myles. I
just hurt myself not posting and didn't learn as much during
that period.
Stay with it Myles. We can't get
along with everyone but we do the best we can.
Kind of like being on the school
grounds when we were kids. Stay here and learn Myles. There is
no better place to do that that I can think of than here. I will
be your friend
and you can ask me as many
questions as you like. I am sure most of the other members feel
the same way Myles. Stay for spite if nothing else. Do not allow
yourself to
be bullied. You may be a newbie but
you have done NOTHING wrong my friend. Stay for me to make up
for my ill advised absence that I'm sorry I did for the same
reasons.
No
Myles its called decorum, generally good manners and protocol
etiquette something your certainly lacking in. Fuck
You
Mr. Banks,
In response to
your wonderful e-mail to me, I wanted to thank you
for you assistance in helping me attain valuable knowledge in
the pursuit of my venture. It is only through people
such as yourself that this hobby can grow to greater heights,
helping to educate those of us with interest in this wonderful
hobby. You should be commended for this. I'm sure
you are a higly respected member of the Personal Submersible
community.
Again, I wish to
apologize to those whom I may have fallen into poor favour
with as a result of my recent enquiries. This was not my
intent and was perhaps a lack of insight on my part. I
assure you, it will not continue.
In parting, I would
just like to say that I don't feel it was neccessary for Mr.
Banks to tell me to "Fuck Off", that I lack decorum, good
manners, or protocol etiquette. A review of my recent
posts do not appear to substantiate this allegation as thus I
feel I have been wrongfully accused, or at the very least,
there has been a misunderstanding.
I wish all of you
the best of luck in your submersible endeavours.
