According to MinnKota, the metal shafts are easier to remove - just threaded.  The carbon fibre shafts are, in fact, glued as well as screwed.

thx Alec. I tryied to remove the shaft to see but it seamed glued or something and i didn't wanted to break it.

Yes Pierre, you can do that, the shaft is open to the interior of the motors.

Hi guys,

 

Does anybodu know if the minn-kota motors can by compensated with air just by having the carbon tube end open to my ambient pressure cabine?

 

Or do i need to drill the casing and plug a hose in there?

 

What i mean is is there a seal of some kind where the wires go?
