RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Hull Shape question

Silky

This was not Adam's question. It was mine. All dimensions are in inches. The
reason I was looking at oval is purely for streamlining. I can fit most of
my battery and ballast space inside the hull. This sub is strictly for
shallow water fun, 100-150' foot max depth. I want to over power the heck
out of it with thrusters and go flying in the kelp forests here in Monterey
bay.

The pdf is now posted on Moki. Thanks for the instructions, never made it
all the way to the bottom on that web page.

Subject: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Hull Shape question

Hey Adam,
Is this sub going to be peddle powered or have a triangular outer
structure???
Are the measurements on your pdf given in cm?? I would like to hear more
about your sub. What advantages dose this oval shaped hull have in your
design? Is the oval shape going to serve an ergonomical factor or is this a
technical refinement.

The hull is possible. Everything is possible (almost). How sensible it would
be to use this hull depends on the purpose of the sub, how much money you
are willing to spend on this project and the subs overall structural
interactions.

Q = How do you post to Moki ???
A = go to the moki site, scroll to the bottom, read the instruction.
