[PSUBS-MAILIST] Presure Vessel, Rolled vs. Spun/Stamped

All,
An early concept pressure vessel/psub design I am working on involves 2 joined
spheres. I have read that spheres need to be stamped or spun where as
cylinders can be rolled. I get the feeling that having sphere shapes produced
is more costly than cylinders. I am trying to get a feel for how much more
expensive. Has anyone gone through this exercise or made a similar decision of
sphere vs. cylinder from a production cost perspective?
Thanks,
Steve McQueen
