Iam new to this list.
I've been really impressed by all your units,
congratulations and thanks for sharring on line
I am re rebreather diver.
I am considering the construction of a small ambiant pressure sub aimed performing saturations dives in shalow depths.
This unit would be used at 10-20m and able to get back from the ambiant pressure to one atmosphere satying at the bottom to perform a 20 hours deco after a 2 days saturation underwater stay.
in would provide the diver with the possibility of performing unlimited dive times from the depth of the unit to 35-50m.
So the max difference of pressure would be 2 amtos
I have of course a lot of questions.
first of all i wonder how do all of you deal with humidity in yours subs ? what kind of sytems can be used to get rid of the breathing humidity ?
as the system will have to stay a couple of days underwater with no surface support at all, we are planning to use a fuelcell baterry fed with hydrogen .
as anybody ever used fuelcell bateries?
here down in france several small fuelcell baterries are in used by amateurs to power small boat electric engines and it works.
provided the cell is not in the diving chamber there is no risk of breathing gaz contamination with hydrogen.
Of course it would be technicaly difficult to adapt the technology to a sub but nowhere impossible.
last question , we are planing to construc the hull in epoxy fiber glass for we are used to build boats like that ,
is that a good idea ?
sorry for this long message.
regards
jean michel
