Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] acrylic viewport thickness

Hi, Rick:
We have a waterfront yard right next to the Fast Ferry
berth/building ( Vancouver Drydock) so we do the sea trials right there.
The other tests are done in our 1500 psi chamber - we can just get the
whole sub (DW) in . . . We are in the process of setting up a facility
called the 'North Shore Hyperbaric Centre' where we have a huge treatment
chamber. The plan is to combine it with 'Sub School'( our sub pilot traing
courses). It will be located as part of the Fisheries and Oceans Research
center in West Vancouver. I mention it because we will have a Pettibone
crane located on the dock there, for DeepWorker training. If you want to
tea-bag your sub, let me know and we'll figure a way to do it.Boy, lots of
submersible action up this way ISE is just finishing up a big (BIG) yacht
sub for a Seattle swillionaire whose name can't be mentioned because of
confidentiality agreements, - Jim Cameron is due up here to work with us on
tests for a new microfibre real-time communication transmission system for
their up-coming live broadcast ( 'Return to Titanic) from the deck of
Titanic later this year. We'll also be doing some fish-tagging experiments
from ,'Aquarius' preparatory to a Coelacanth tagging attempt for University
of South Africa. So our business is still going down - thank goodness!
