Hello all you ambient, dry types . . .

Regarding compensation: How have you guys decided to compensate your main
cockpit?

I'd intended on using multiple, second stage regs in a manifold to breathe
air into the cabin.  My reasoning goes with [a] redundancy [b] providing
several inlets [at the mouthpieces] for air to move through to avoid loud,
screaming air from a single orifice, and [c] avoiding potential freezeup by
distributing the compensating air through several first stage regs as well.
We're talking volume in my six foot hemisphere acrylic viewport.

Next: How are you limiting the interior volume to preserve air?

The cockpit can be restricted in volume - nyaaa.  I'm a hedonist.  Besides,
I want VIEW and I like that Bell helicopter bubble solution.  Volume's
horrible, though.

Possible solution: Prepressurize the cabin to one atm. prior to diving.  Any
cycling between the surface and one atm. will avoid having to constantly
compensate the cabin.  Needless to say, if I dive below one atm. it's back
to compensation.

Thoughts?
