[PSUBS-MAILIST] 2004 PSUBS Award Winners

Hi,

I've been busy creating the 2004 PSUBS Convention
DVD's. Now that I am done I can wrap up this bit of
business. The winners for the 2004 PSUBS Awards are:

**********************************
The Kittredge Award
    - Dan H. Persistance
**********************************
The Archimedes Award
    - Gary Boucher White Paper: Homemade Sonar
Systems
**********************************

Details below contain the comments and who got what
votes. As you can see there was very LITTLE input from
the community :(

**********************************
The Kittredge Award:
For designing and building excellence in creating
a whole and functional personal submersible.
----------------------------------
- Dan H., United States for his K-350 Persistance.

Vote 1
Dan H. get's my vote. Dan was very open and sharing
during the contructions of Persistance, also the dive
reports he's been posting are great (very useful if
you
are in the design stage).

Vote 2
I vote for Dan H. for the Kittredge Award.
...pictures just don't do it justice, it is truly a
work of art!

Vote 3
I would like to vote Dan H. for the Kettredge award.
----------------------------------

- Peter Madsen, Denmark for Kraka.
Vote 1/2
----------------------------------

- Anders Ljung, Sweden for Malen.
Vote 1/2
**********************************

The Archimedes Award:
For innovative designing excellence of a
 	specific piece of
gear for use in personal submersibles that
spreads knowledge through the group .
----------------------------------
- Gary Boucher White Paper: Homemade Sonar Systems

Vote 1
Gary's homemade sonar system knocked my socks off.
Once
I've got an operational sub, this is probably going to
be
one of the first extras I add to it.
**********************************

The Busby Award:
For excellence in technical writing on personal
submersibles
	designs, operations and applications.
No nominations.
**********************************

The Beach Award:
For non-technical writing that promotes personal
	submersibles to the general public.
No nominations.
**********************************

The Link Award:
For contributions to oceanographic research using
	personal submersibles.
No nominations.
**********************************

Regards,
Ray
