There's info on wood/plywood for surface boats and aircraft builders.
Perhaps you can glean some ideas in this area.

Do a Google on "molded plywood construction" , *"l*aminated wood fuselage" ,
these was a popular building material in the early to mid 1900s

also, Duramold construction, used in 40s for boats and aircraft. "Spruce Goose"
supposedly used duramold.
