Hi William, they designed big towing laucher tubes for the V2 in 44/45 -
one submarine can tow one unit. Towing horizontal - than flip 90
degrees, fueld the rocket, open the top and fired. The drawings are in
the Peenmünde Rocket Museum. The build them not because the war ends
before.. Also they fired for test smaller rockets from submerged U-boots
of the coast of norway in 44/45. Later the US grap the most of this
idears - and build subs as missle carrier.
