[PSUBS-MAILIST] Diameter Size
Hi All
I will be building a Cylindrical shaped sub with a hemi-shpere at the
front end. The dimensions of the sub will be as follows and I just want
your opinion guys.
Length = 3 meters
Diameter = 1.3 meters
Steel thickness = 1 cm
I am concerned about two things. First are 1.3 meters for the Diameter
of the sub is Practical, to drive, to take pics, to use a manipulator etc..
Or is that going to make things awkward to the occupant?
Second, I want to dive as deep as 100 meters, but I will be testing it at
300 meters. So is the 1 cm thickness of steel is way too much. Am I
exagerating in my concern about safety?
I greatly appreciate any comments.
Thank you all
Tarek
