Adam,

Hmm. I'm not sure if that's the way I meant for this conversation to go. Not
that what I wanted has anything to do with it. And I might as well take a shot
at your "different cars" analogy while I'm at it. Yes, we all have (more or
less) different cars. But, and it's a big but, remember that the selection pool
for all those different cars all meet some standard. You wouldn't buy a car
without windshield wipers just because it isn't raining.

VBTs--We used the mains sometimes, and you will, too. But we had trim systems
which allowed us lots of alternatives in the handling of each vehicle
depending on circumstance and need. And the Nektons plus Delta? Well, I won't even
attempt to argue with success of that scope. Delta has over 6000 dives, more
than any other working submersible in the world that I know about. So it's
obvious that both ways work. Just remember the option. Maybe weld in a couple of
thru-hulls, just in case you decide to try hands-off neutral buoyancy. It's a
mighty nice option, and need not be overly complex or cumbersome.

Best Regards,
Vance
