Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] VBT (MBT) Revisited Idea - another one..
No...it docent go any deeper until you rotate the tube and let out more air. Thats what it is...It's a ballast system. When you reach the depth your looking for all thats needed is to rotate the tube back words a little and it stops letting in water. Things don't happen very quickly down there and most home builds don't seem to be going much deeper than a few hundred feet. The sad party is that many seem to be wanting to use 3 atmospheres(99 feet) as a design limit and that makes it hard ,,Thats almost staying with in the splash zone and then things do happen quickly. The deeper one goes,,the better a ballast system works.. In the first 33 feet it's almost impossible to maintain buoyancy control,,,The bad part is that the deeper you go...the better ballast systems work. But every thing happens very slowly down there and it's more or less very easy to compensate a little bit. This trick in some ways is a
combination hard & soft ballast.
hat happens to the air in the tube as you dive deeper?
