[PSUBS-MAILIST] aol service disruption

AOL subscribers to the mailing list have been temporarily disabled due
to some spam problems.  In a nutshell, there is a fairly easy method
of bypassing the built-in majordomo restrictions for posting emails
to any mailing list.  Spammers are utilizing this weakness to blast
unsolicited email to list members.

AOL has some rather draconian policies toward unsolicited spam and have
temporarily blocked the PSUBS server from sending email to AOL
recipients.  This is causing lots of error messages on our server and
those error messages are just pissing off AOL even more.

Until I can resolve this issue with AOL I have removed all aol recipients
from the list and will block further requests to join the lists from
the aol.com domain.  Anyone with an aol.com email address should 
consider the following:

1) Find another provider.  As much as I hate spam and the grief it
causes me, AOL has taken a "kill the mosquito with a shotgun blast"
approach of dealing with it which causes me just as much grief.

2) Get a free email account from yahoo.com or some other similar
provider until the AOL issue is resolved.

Unfortunately, this email won't get through to anyone with an aol.com
address, so if you can pass the word along please do.
