Is a ring in 2 or 3 parts as strong as a one piece?

Put the rings out side...........dont cut the hull open.or slide the rings through the hatch opening ..the rings can be in sections,,,,they dont need to bee a solid ring,,,they can be in 2 or 3 parts.

Pierre,  Yes I would have to cut the tank to put the reinforcement
rings in,  but that is no big deal.  Also I would not need it painted so
that might reduce the cost more.  I checked today on the thickness, one
was .233"   another was  .255"
