Hi All, I'm heading up to San Francisco next week (to see Toots and
the Maytals ! ) but while I'm up there I'm going to check out the
USS Pampanito WW II submarine. This will be the first submarine that I
will have the pleasure of stepping aboard ! I saw in the archives that
there is a small one or two man sub on display also. I'm still not clear
on that hatch seat, does anyone know if hatch details have changed much since WW
II? Also if any one knows of a small submersible in California that
one could take a look at, that would be really helpful ! My hatch seat
delma is whether or not there is a ridge on the seat that fits into the "o" ring
groove or is the hatch seat just flat. I think there are probably
variations of both. Sorry that I'm just beating this to death
!
