Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Fwd: Looking For Amateur SumbmersibleBuliders for show on Discovery

that would be fun. a sub- speed building contest bringing all the marvelous and eccentric minds of psubers together to build one sub in one month or two. like the OSS but better.

Hi,

Perhaps like the oar powered sub that operated in the Thames river 200 or 300 years ago. The Dredge or something. Someone did a special about recreating one but only gave the team 3 weeks to get it built.
They were only able to make a dive or two. By the time they got it right time was up. Off to a museum.

==== Forward ====
Dear Ray,
I am an associate producer for Original Productions, creator of the hit Discovery Channel
shows ?Monster Garage? and Monster House?. We are currently researching possible stories
for our new Discovery series ?Monster Nation?. Like "Garage" and "House", ?Monster Nation?
is a celebration of invention and transformation. We are looking for amatuer submersible builders and I wanted to see if you could help me
find sub enthusiasts in your organization who would be interested in letting us film them
working on a submersible and demonstrating it for us. We are based in Los Angeles but will
be filming across the US from April to July. If interested, please contact me at
pcloutier@sbcglobal.net. Thank you for your help.
Best regards,
Philip Cloutier
