I've kicked the same idea around, but for a tiny
diesel or an even smaller gasoline engine that

Will the 318 run on propane or something less explosive
than gasoline? No, I don't know what I'm talking about.
I once ran across a set of plans for running an outboard
with steam. A boiler is separate from the outboard and
the steam line runs to the cylinders. Can you adapt
that idea?
The real problem is the explosive and uncontrollable
nature of gasoline.
