I sure wouldn't use the bottom for trim. I'm no expert on the
structural integrity of these machines, but I imagine if you kissed the
bottom enough, the integrity could at some point become fatigued or
compromised. Even it is is *just sand*. Travelling too close to
hazardous wreckage is not a show of skill, instead more like showing
stupidity. In my humble, though uneducated, opinion that is.
