Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Regulating Pressure in 1 ATM Sub
Welcome Rob,
When you breath you use O2 and you exhale CO2. The CO2 is absorbed and the
pressure drops. Metal bellows are expanded and they open a valve that admits
O2 to enter the sub until the original pressure is reached. (The bellows are
compressed and the valve is closed). There was a discussion on the subject
in june 2002. Look in the archive for the subject "source for a demand
regulator". Phil Nuytten has written an interresting artikel on the subject.
I printed it but i do not know where i got it from. I cannot help you on the
"purge compressor", i do not know what it is.
Good luck

on using a CO2 Scrubber and O2 replenishment. With the O2 bleeding in, how
to I ensure the sub stay at a nominal 1 ATM pressure ?

this, however, I can find little to no information on this type of
compressor.

I apologize for repeating it, but I did not see a clear answer.
