Hi all,

I've been offline for a while (well, just lurking anyway) but thought the group may benefit from some things that have been in the news lately.

The first is a high speed welding process that may have application (it apparently works really well with thick plates).

I was also thinking a cheap way to sterilise/disinfect the circulating air supply may be as simple as stuffing old (but hi-tech) socks into the filters (this one is from late june):
