You asked for more information about the book. Well he it is:

It was written in the DDR, so i suppose it is useless to try to find Transpress.

The first 45 pages give a general discription of submersibles (a small Busby).

Then there are discritions of about 300 subs, with (bad quality) pictures or drawings.

The book ends with an extract from the Germanischer Lloyds rules (1971) and the Alvin checklist.

It gives a lot more information on specific subs than Busby, but it can not compete as far as technical information is concerned.

I did a search on Amazon and Copernic 2000 and cound not find a used copy.

And last but not least: it is in german.
