I don't mean to get your hopes up, this is nothing fancy. They are just
little antennas with a magnetic base, intended to be stuck on the roof
of a car. I'm putting one in a composite mast that's just 3 feet tall,
so I have not experimented to see how many feet of coax I can add before
degrading the signal. I guess this would be the first thing to try if
you wanted to float it behind your sub.
