Why isn't it possible to get a "fish finder" that could give a "global"
view around the sub?  I have heard of similar stuff for the USN.  The
global view isn't "the entire Earth", but instead it creates a "globe"
around the sub using the sonar.  It is roughly 360* around the sub. 
With todays technology there's no reason why it can't be done, that I
can see.
