i would like to invite you all to consider californias monterey bay for this years convention for these reasons:

1) the monterey bay is now a marine santuary and the largest in the world
2) the bay trench is the largest coastal canyon in the world second only to the mariana (sp?) deeper than the grand canyon!
3) the monterey bay institute is funded by the packard (as in hewlett packard) foundation and has a substantial sub research sight.
4) as a former employee of that corp i might be able to assist in someways.
5) attendance to your convention could be incredible given californias' peculiar psyche.

let me know if you might like to reconsider.
