Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] FWD: CNN Breaking News

I've been away for the past week. And it's sad to return
home to hear about the demise of the "Columbia" and
her crew.
It is especially sad for my wife and her Mother, since today
is Chinese New Year and it is supposed to be a day celebrated
to end the old and begin the new.
If any of you have ever been to an authentic Chinese restaurant
in a Chinatown ( like in SF, NY, or Chicago ) you are familiar that
on days like today it is *especially* noisy and chatty as the day
is celebrated. My wife and I went to a local favorite here and I
can tell you the mood was subdued and somber with only the
chatter of children to be heard.
My Mother-in-law called early this morning. She expressed her
sadness over the shuttle and reminded me that *ancient explorers*
throughout history gave their lives so we could carry on the
*great journey* that belongs to us.
She wished us and *our friends* health and good fortune. So,
I extend these well wishes to you, my friends and comrades, from my
Mother-in-law and from Josie and me.
And may we all keep each other in constant vigil for each others safety and
well being as we continue the Great Journey
( and the OSS project : )

Gung Hay Fat Choy !
