Alec,

I commend you for your decision for the expensive battery charger. From my limited experience (about 30+ years) most battery problems are caused by cheap chargers. Of course the OEM vendors love cheap chargers since they sell more batteries.

Better chargers will extend the life of any battery chemistry.
