Kittredge K-350

Kittredge 350 is a two person submersible rated to 100 meters (300 feet).
This basic submersible is battery powered with a simple life support system
consisting of oxygen replenishment and carbon dioxide scrubbers. This sub is
budget priced for the recreational explorer and has been designed for
leisure, filming, research and simple search and recovery activities.
Lightweight, easily towed on a trailer by car, this submarine can be used by
the family or local SCUBA club for week-end dives. Communications and simple
manipulator available as options. We currently have one K-350 two person
submersible available. This sub is dive-ready, is located in the U.K. and is
available for US$79,890.00. Estimated replacement cost is US$195,000.00

K-350 Specifications:

K-350 Features:

Diameter of pressure Hull: 3 ft 0ins
Material of Pressure Hull: ASTM 516 Grade 70 PVQ steel shell with angle
frames, and heavier plate inserts where necessary.
Reserve Buoyancy: 600 pounds
Propulsion: Three motors. Two motors are external and capable of being
rotated independently through 360 degrees. Stern variable speed reversible
motor is also in external pad and acts as the active rudder.
Power Source: Eight (85 ampere hour) Marine batteries in two external pods.
Giving 12vdc and 36vdc.
Submerged Duration: One hour (without air revitalization equipment see
below).
Ballast tanks: Two external fiberglass, free flooding Main Ballast Tanks.
Internal Variable Ballast Tank System.
View Ports: Conning Tower has five acrylic viewports ( Four in trunk and one
in hatch). One front viewing port 16ins diameter.
Snorkel System : Consists of automatic, self-closing outboard poppet- valve
and inboard quick closing, ball valve. Permits surface operation without
opening conning tower hatch.
Fiberglass Stern Fairings.
Twin external pressure proof battery containers serve as twin keels, thus
eliminating a cradle for submarine handling.
Valves: Sea valves and hull-stop valves are Worcester Ball Valves. MBT vent
valves are Lance stainless steel ball valves.
Two Emergency lead drop-weights.
Internal Depth Gauge.

Optional Equipment (K-350).

Directional depth sounder.
Directional gyro / compass.
VHF for surface communications.
UQC Underwater telephone (not included)
Air revitalization equipment. Eight-hour duration with 02 injection, and CO2
scrubbers. Plus 72-hour emergency life support.
Tandem Axle Trailer (not included)
External Floodlights (two units)
Mechanical claw (not included)
Operations and maintenance manual.
