[PSUBS-MAILIST] Amphibious P-sub sneak attacks
> Iraqi Submarine Prowling Lake Michigan
> Great Lakes -- it's all one big water system.
It says something, that they feel it necessary to explain this
geographical tidbit to their audience...
> "That puts the terrorists in a perfect position to launch an

> sneak attack on any one of at least six states, including Minnesota,
> Wisconsin, Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania and New York.
Perfect position, oh yes. As a rule of thumb, always begin your
amphibious attacks from out in the water. But I don't understand what
kind of "amphibious" attack a 6-man minisub could launch on anything --
unless they had a bicycle on board...
> The Bush administration is keeping the crisis under wraps to avoid

Because nothing leads to panic like the possibility of very, very small
slow-moving vehicles under water near chilly Great Lakes beaches.
> God knows there are enough raw materials in
> Detroit to build a fleet of mini-subs."
This part is just too weird to even say anything.
> The expert ends with an ominous warning: "If we don't do something
> about
> those subs soon, we'll be in big trouble."
Oh boy.
Thanks -- whoever posted this originally. What a hoot. I understand
what Doc's saying about sensationalism and hype and paranoia and all,
but my chief response to stuff like this lately is that I'm filled with
pride and a sense of my own importance, as it gives me definitive
knowledge that quite a few people are useless fools and I'm NOT. These
things should give us p-subbers a little gleeful burst of self-esteem
boosting, and we should be thankful to these disreputable publishers
for the warm glow we fee.
